Aloha, Luau!

Get on your grass skirts! The annual Luau is scheduled for this Saturday, SEPTEMBER 12. There is much to be done to prepare for it.

Park trustee Mike Moran is asking for help to do a mini clean-up that morning from 8 - 11 a.m. (or as long as you are able in that window). The emphasis will be on removing deadfall, vines from trees, trimming along bottom of fence. Bring clippers, hoes, wheelbarrows and a gas powered string trimmer.

If you are better in the kitchen than you are with powertools, consider helping to prepare the feast. Someone is needed to roast or grill two chickens (already purchased). Mary Dawson will decorate the cottage at 3 p.m. and needs 2-3 residents to help her for an hour, or perhaps less. Someone is also needed to purchase a few grocery items, eating utensils, drinking cups, sodas, bottled water - GNA will reimburse you. You can also help by setting up tables and chairs.

Luau begins at 5 p.m.

Also, remember, candidates for election, including Gordonston resident Kim Dulek, have been invited to give a brief presention and be on hand for questions.
