Grey's Gardens

Last night the Gordonston Garden Club was fortunate to hear from Stan Gray, a master Iris gardnerer. He grew up watching his parents Etheline and Charles create gorgeous blooms in Montvale, NJ.

After retiring to Savannah, he decided to research Iris varities that might do well in a very different climate. He is now a volunteer gardner at Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens where he keeps an acre of Iris. He has been featured in Garden & Gun magazine and was recently published in Fleur-de-Lis, the official journal of Louisian Iris research.
